Transformational Beginnings Program Manager 

The Transformational Beginnings (TB) Program Manager guides and supports all youth who participate in the Mattress Deconstruction and Recycling Enterprise, the first phase of workforce programming.  S/he plans and implements daily structured programming, which includes working in the mattress recycling warehouse, workshops, talking circles, and orientation sessions.  Above all else, the TB Program Manager identifies as a dedicated youth worker with a passion for transitional employment programming. The individual values innovation and creativity and is inspired to address the challenges and benefits of an integrated youth development social enterprise business. Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, the position also works with the Chief Innovation Officer, Mattress Recycling Operations Manager, Director of Youth Promise, and TB Coaches to develop, manage, and support the Mattress Recycling social enterprise. 

Responsibilities and Outcomes

  • ·         Supervise and manage a crew of up to 20 youth in the mattress recycling warehouse
  • ·         Develop, plan, and facilitate Transformational Beginnings orientation and weekly workshops for new enrollees to UTEC’s workforce development programs
  • ·         Complete weekly performance reviews for all youth who complete 3 days of attendance per week
  • ·         Responsible for promoting 4-5 youth a month to the next stage of programming (food services or woodworking)
  • ·         Provide support  to the Mattress Recycling Operations Manager  and Chief Innovation Officer in developing and maintaining operations process and protocols in Mattress Recycling  
  • ·         Collaborate with the Senior Director of Programs, Director of Youth Promise and workforce staff in implementing quality integrated programing and preparing youth for a continuum of workforce and educational opportunities
  • ·         Manage youth time sheets, attendance, payroll, evaluations, and daily activities and enter data in ETO, UTEC’s performance management database
  • ·         Supervise 1 AmeriCorps member in Mattress Recycling

Qualifications and Competencies

  • ·         At least 3 years of youth development experience with proven-risk youth
  • ·         At least one year of supervisory experience preferred
  • ·         Experience developing lesson plans and an understanding of group dynamics

Finance Manager

This position is the lead role for many of the financial activities of Company. The Finance Manager is an active member of the company headquarters team and to support all of these responsibilities the person in this position must have excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.

Primary Responsibilities 

 

·        

Cost proposal development for Federal Government solicitations – to include but not limited to, construction of all direct and indirect rate structures and Labor Rates

·        

Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations

·        

Function as the lead for US Government audits by DCMA, DCAA, and other Federal Agencies

·        

Coordinate financial management functions

·        

Direct financing strategies, analysis, forecasting and budget management.

·        

Manage Relationship with the provider of corporate Line of Credit

·        

Annual Incurred Cost Submissions to DCMA/DCAA

·        

Pricing negotiations (cost reductions) with major vendors (Insurance, payroll providers, etc.)

·        

Familiar with all customer contract terms and conditions related to finance

·        

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

·        

Assist with the preparation of financial reports

·        

Assist with the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts

·        

Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements

The successful candidate will provide coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as well as DCAA and DCMA requirements.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

·        

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting/Finance experience

·        

5 to 7 years’ experience in a mid-level finance or accounting position, preferable with a Federal Contractor

·        

Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

·        

Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

·        

Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

·        

Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, budgets, and profitability analysis.

·        

Must have prior experience generating Federal Government price proposals.

·        

Must be familiar with Federal Government contracting and FAR/DFAR requirements.

·        

Must be familiar with and ready to support financial audits by DCMA, DCAA, and other Federal agencies

·        

Must be very fluent in the use of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

·        

US Military Veteran preferred but not required

The Community Outreach Liaison reports directly to the community ED.   

 

PURPOSE

 

The Community Outreach Liaison is responsible for using independent judgment to generate qualified leads and move-ins as a result of a direct external sales effort and co-marketing effort the community team. The Community Outreach Liaison will target referral sources from among the professional medical community, various community associations, and related providers. Responsibilities include positioning Springhouse as a preferred provider and maintaining professional relationships in the community, in addition to developing and implementing sales strategies. 

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Accounting

·        

Responsible for completing expense reports in a timely manner

 

Account Management

·        

Manages major accounts as identified in the Marketing Action Plan

·        

Manages within the assigned community

·        

Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining a Quarterly Sales and Marketng Plan for an assigned community in conjunction with other sales associates, Executive Directors,  and Director of Senior Living

·        

Effectively manage lead database through timely follow up with all leads, ensuring good discovery, positive next steps and moving the sale to close.

·        

Assist with managing the website to best promote Springhouse services

·        

Assist with event planning, including development of promotion and marketing collateral

 
 
Analysis/Reporting
  • Ensures all lead sources are identified in Residex
  • Ensures qualified leads are entered into Residex
  • Timely completion of the Marketing Action Plan and the External Business Development plan which is a component of the Quarterly Sales and Marketing plan.

 

 

Experience

Defines, develops key macro referral sources and maintains relationships with key area referral sources within their assigned area that have the ability to refer to multiple communities

Collaborates with Executive Directors, community sales team and Director of Senior Living on improved service delivery and problem resolution.
