About Reiki:  Reiki is a natural healing energy revealed to japanese born

Mikao Usui in the year 1922.  It is a gentle flow of movement that assists

your physical body in renewing and maintaining "continuing wellness".

It also opens blocked emotional and mental energies, allowing waves of

reiki to flow, gently assisting the person's natural ability to heal. Reiki

releases stress, tension and reduces anxiety, helping you to live life

to the fullest.   

The person receiving reiki lies fully clothed and the practioner places

her/his hands on head and upper torso.  Sessions last about an hour and

the person receiving need do nothing special, naturally relaxing into the

healing process.  Reiki is being used in many hospital and medical

settings as an adjunct to conventional medicine to help speed the

healing process after surgeries.

Padma Morel is a Reiki Master Teacher.  She began her reiki practice

in 1993, learning Reiki 1 followed by Reiki 11.  In 1996 she attained

reiki master teacher status.  In 2007 Padma studied with the William

Rand International Center for Reiki, then continued her training with

the Reverend Inamoto Hyakuten, from Kyoto, Japan.  Padma believes

everyone ought to learn reiki for themselves and loves teaching it.
